About Fie Eike:
Fie Eike is a Norwegian-born composer and songwriter raised in Denmark. Her debut album “Water”, about the existential wisdom of water and the sea, was released in November 2024 to great critical acclaim both in Denmark and abroad. Gaffa wrote: “It’s tantalizing, thoroughly composed and hammeringly competent. The sound almost trickles down your spine.” Alt for Damerne described the album as “[…] pure, heartfelt and breathtaking.”
With melodic and evocative English-language songs and instrumental compositions, Fie Eike explores the relationship between humans and nature, and gives sound to human life’s deepest emotions and greatest contrasts of sorrow, darkness, light and hope, with moving and powerful vocals, piano, electronic elements – often with sound recordings from nature. The result is a unique soundscape of art-pop and electronica with clear neoclassical undertones, where time stands still and the listener is invited to feel their true expression and deepest emotions and longings.
The basic moods of the music are based on present-day experiences and childhood memories of the Nordic nature, especially the Danish forests, the North Sea and the Norwegian fjords and mountain landscapes.
