Dream images – a journey into the world of colors

Take your school class on an in-depth and inspiring journey into Carl-Henning Pedersen’s colorful and dreamy universe. The course combines art experience, analysis and aesthetic learning processes with a focus on the mood, composition and expression of the works.

We work dialogically, and students are invited to reflect on the meaning of art, color choices and compositional devices. Through creative tasks in the exhibitions, we spend time experiencing the art slowly and thus get it under the skin. And the students get the opportunity to translate their impressions into their own ideas based on Carl-Henning Pedersen’s way of creating.

The course concludes in the art school’s premises, where students can work with automatic drawings to explore spontaneous and intuitive expression, or create compositions with a focus on the blue color as a key element. The course can also focus on color theory, depending on agreement.

The course is adapted to age levels and can be combined with Danish, visual arts or crafts and design.
